Adjustable Rate Mortgage

An adjustable rate mortgage (ARM) is a type of mortgage loan where the interest rate may fluctuate based on market conditions over the course of the loan. The interest rate on an ARM is usually fixed for a period of time (typically 5, 7, or 10 years) and then adjusts annually based on an index, such as the Treasury Index or the LIBOR index.
